PayPal and Banks in the Philippines

On his website Life in the Philippines, my friend Louden, did a recent post on how to use PayPal in the Philippines. This is important because PayPal is one way to have access to your money while retiring in the Philippines. If you are making money online while living there PayPal is the best alternative for getting paid. Ebay uses it and all the affiliate programs I work with use it.

In this article Louden stresses the importance of working with a bank within the Philippines that will accept PayPal. Even though there are many reputable banks in that country not all will be PayPal friendly. Louden uses Union Bank of the Philippines for his transactions and it doesn’t look like he’s had a problem with them. There is a bank number that PayPal requires and I suspect is the routing number just like we have here in the U.S. One of the great things about his post is that he provides the number you need for many of the banks within the Philippines. IĀ use PNB (Philippine National Bank) which has branches in the U.S. close to where I live. We have an account and try to stay active with deposits so there shouldn’t be a problem in the Philippines. If you missed the link to this great post here it is again. PayPal in the Philippines.
